1. Service

TransLemon offers two translation features. Photo translation recognizes text in photos (such as menus and signs) and translates it into your chosen language, optionally adding dish descriptions, images, and allergen hints. Conversation translation records your speech while you hold the talk button; when you release it, the recording is sent to an AI model to be transcribed and translated, and the translation is converted to speech, returning translated text and audio.

Recognition and translation are performed by AI models. Results are provided for reference only and do not constitute professional translation; dish descriptions and allergen hints are likewise AI-generated and may be inaccurate or incomplete — for allergies and dietary safety, rely on the vendor’s own information. Do not use the app as the sole basis for legal, medical, or other precision-critical purposes.

2. Subscriptions

• The app offers a free quota and auto-renewable subscriptions in two tiers, Basic and Plus, each available weekly, monthly, or yearly. Prices are as shown on the App Store purchase sheet.
• Quota: users without a subscription receive a one-time lifetime free quota (a number of photos and conversation minutes). Each tier includes a set number of photo translations and conversation minutes, metered per day and per month (per week on weekly plans); daily quotas reset at 00:00 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and monthly quotas reset at the start of each UTC month. Exact figures are shown on the in-app subscription page.
• Conversation metering: conversation translation counts the time you actually speak against your minute quota, with a minimum of 3 seconds per utterance.
• Auto-renewal: your Apple account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless cancelled earlier.
• Cancellation: manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; service continues until the period ends.
• Free trial: monthly and yearly plans include a 3-day free trial; weekly plans do not. Each Apple account is eligible for one free trial per subscription group, as determined by Apple. The trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends; unused trial time is forfeited upon purchase.
• Upgrades and downgrades: switching between tiers or billing periods follows Apple’s rules — upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.
• Refunds: handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
• We may restrict abnormal usage to prevent abuse.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app for unlawful purposes, upload infringing content, or abuse the API / circumvent quota limits by automated means.

4. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” without warranties regarding accuracy or completeness of translations.
